The University of Žilina provides several parking areas for its employees, students, and visitors. This overview serves as a guide to parking zones, parking options, and fees under the valid price list No. 370.

Parking areas at the University of Žilina are divided into several zones:

• VD – charged on working days from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.,
• FRI – charged on working days from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.,
• accommodation facility VD – 24-hour operation,
• FBI, VC – reserved for UNIZA employees,
• AŠ UNIZA – layby at the catering facility Nová Menza..

University employees and PhD students can use the VD, accommodation facility VD, FRI, AŠ, and VC parking zones.
The FBI zone is reserved for FBI, ÚCV, and ÚZVV employees.

• The parking permit is valid for one calendar year.
• Payments are made through the internal eMANY system.
• Access to car parks is possible using a chip card, student ID card, or contactless sticker.
• Holders of a parking permit for the disabled can park free of charge.

The price list is valid from 1.1.2026 to 31.12.2026

Students can use the VD, FRI, and accommodation facility VD parking zones with their student ID card (ISIC).
The fee is automatically paid through the eMANY system. A 10% discount is provided for this form of payment.

Accommodated students can park in the Accommodation facility VD and AŠ UNIZA zones.
The fee is paid for the entire calendar month.
The number of parking spaces is limited.

The price list is valid from 1.1.2026 to 31.12.2026

One-time parking is allowed in zones VD, FRI, and the accommodation facility VD.
The first 15 minutes of parking are free.
The fee must be paid in cash at the parking cashier before leaving the parking zone.

Parking areas can also be used by tenants and external organisations located near the university, provided a written request is addressed to the UNIZA bursar.
The request must include:

• the number of vehicles (two maximum) and their license plate numbers,
• the address and billing information (company ID, tax ID, VAT ID, bank details),
• request for a contactless sticker or card.

After the request is approved and the invoice is paid, parking is allowed for the agreed period.

Fees are paid via the eMANY system.

Individuals not employed by UNIZA are not eligible for a parking card, except for emeritus professors and individuals working on the basis of agreements, if specified in their contract.

The parking fee is refunded only upon termination of employment or doctoral studies. The minimum refund amount is €10 excluding VAT.
