Recognition of documents on completion of secondary education
Applicant from abroad shall within his/her application form enclose a document on completion of secondary education (according to the OECD classification at least ISCED 3A or later referred to as ISCED 344 or 354) or submit the document no later than the date of registration.
On the basis of submitted application, the document is recognised by the district office in the residence of the University after comparing the scope and content of education received (as far as international treaties allow for automatic recognition) with the scope and content of education required by the National Education Programme in the Slovak Republic.
In the case of recognition of document on education of a minor, the application shall be submitted by his/her legal representative.
The application for recognition of document contains:
- applicant's name and surname,
- address of permanent residence or similar residence,
- subject of the application,
- name and address of recognized school that issued the document on education,
- year of completion of studies,
- signature of an applicant or signature of his/her legal representative (in the case of a person under 18 years of age).
List of enclosures to be submitted along with the application form:
- a certified copy of the document on completion of education
- a certified translation of the document into the official language of the Slovak Republic
- a list of subjects and examinations completed
- a certified translation of the list into the official language of the Slovak Republic
- a copy of proof of identity
- a proof of payment of administration fee.
