The University of Žilina have prepared an information system (Admission procedure) for applicants. In this system, you can find all the necessary information relating to the admission procedure at UNIZA.

Information system (Admission procedure) records the application forms of applicants for university education at all faculties and institutes of UNIZA.

"Electronic application form" allows applicants to fill in easily and quickly only those data that are required by faculties. It also allows to see the evaluation and the results of the admission procedure if individual faculties make them available.

• Information on fees for admission procedure and method of payment from abroad can be found in the information on study options at a particular faculty.
• Students from abroad who study in a full-time form and in a foreign language (English), pay the tuition fee.

For the academic year, the tuition fee is EUR 3500

• Study in the Slovak language is free of charge.

Applicant from abroad shall within his/her application form enclose a document on completion of secondary education (according to the OECD classification at least ISCED 3A or later referred to as ISCED 344 or 354) or submit the document no later than the date of registration.

On the basis of submitted application, the document is recognised by the district office in the residence of the University after comparing the scope and content of education received (as far as international treaties allow for automatic recognition) with the scope and content of education required by the National Education Programme in the Slovak Republic.
In the case of recognition of document on education of a minor, the application shall be submitted by his/her legal representative.

The application for recognition of document contains:

• applicant's name and surname,
• address of permanent residence or similar residence,
• subject of the application,
• name and address of recognized school that issued the document on education,
• year of completion of studies,
• signature of an applicant or signature of his/her legal representative (in the case of a person under 18 years of age).

List of enclosures to be submitted along with the application form:

1. the authenticity of signatures and of the school’s stamp mark on the document on completion of education must be certified by a relevant body of the state Ukraine (applicants for study abroad should arrange this immediately after receiving the document – before traveling to the Slovak Republic).
2. a certified copy of the document on completion of education
3. a certified translation of the document into the official language of the Slovak Republic
4. a list of subjects and examinations completed
5. a certified translation of the list into the official language of the Slovak Republic
6. a copy of proof of identity
7. a proof of payment of administration fee.
