The UNIZA Accreditation Board is the highest decision-making body within the framework of quality assurance of higher education, accreditation of study programmes, habilitation proceedings and proceedings for the appointment of a professor at the University of Žilina in Žilina in accordance with Act No. 269/2018 Coll. on quality assurance in higher education and change and supplementing Act No. 343/2015 Coll. on public procurement and amending and supplements to certain acts, as amended.

Decisions of the Accreditation Board are binding for all faculties and other parts of UNIZA where study programmes, habilitation proceedings and inaugural proceedings, scientific, research, development, artistic and other creative activities take place.

The position of the Accreditation Board within the Internal Quality Assurance System at the University of Žilina in Žilina is regulated by the Statute of the Accreditation Board.
