On October 3, 2025, a training on the topic of the Code of Ethics – Ethics and integrity in the field of research and scientific work took place at our university center ZUBEREC. The participants had the opportunity to learn more about the contents of the Code of Research Integrity and Ethics in Slovakia, prepared by VAIA in cooperation with CVTI SR. The Codex was developed in accordance with international norms regulating this field, such as the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity. Next, they were presented with the UNIZA Code of Ethics, governed by the internal Directive No. 207/2021, and its Amendment No. 1, May 31, 2024. The UNIZA Code of Ethics defines general ethical values, principles, and norms for the employees and students of UNIZA to follow. Particular attention was paid to ethical values, principles, and norms of research and scientific work, how to proceed in case of violation of research ethics and integrity, which violations are considered to be serious, and which are seen as dubious scientific practices.
